But couldn't sexual harassment issues also potentially happen with lesbians in the women's bathroom or gay men in the men's bathroom? How come that is not issue?Unless somebody announces that they are gay or lesbian in the bathroom I doubt anyone would notice. If a woman walks into the mens room or vise versa people would notice.

that's their profits. texting and tethering. those of us with just the regular service barely pay the bills
same reason why the lower end imacs mbp's are not that good a buy or the GPU's are gimped on them and the $2000 model has the good GPU and 1GB of GDDR5

Good. I'm all in favor of Apple adding more incentives for devs to embrace the Mac App store. As a consumer I really like the idea of an App Store that makes buying and installing as easy as one click as well as fostering competition between comparable apps.
Before it was sooo.... hard. My wrist still hurts from dragging one single file to the Applications folder. Oh, and I just love having to pay sales tax on the apps. :rolleyes:
I don't hate the Mac App store, I just don't think it should be a factor in the award. With that said, its Apples award and they can do as they please with it, including making acceptance of onerous terms a prerequisite to compete.

Even though Apple has a good foothold, and the current iPod can probably hold off the Zune for a while, I don't think Apple will even let the Zune get any kind of momentum. If Apple wants the iPod to continue to be THE music/movie player for everyone, they at least should be able to match the wifi and larger screen. This really isn't a rumor, more of just logical speculation. The 5.5G really isn't major enough. I believe that the only major improvement was the firmware aside a bigger drive and brighter screen. Basically, I don't think that will have any bearing on a G6. It would be nice if there was more difinitive evidence of this, but I don't mind the speculation. It just shows that others are thinking like me, and that hopefully Apple is too.

please tell me you know about the process of obtaining a patent.
if i have the money, i can come up with 5 things, right now, to be patented. but you don't care, do you.
point being, it's not hard to get patent... as long as you fulfill those 3 requirement (novelty, non-obviousness, usefulness), and after a few yrs, you will be grant a patent.
the lacks of buttons on a phone could ne novel and non-obvious, but is that really THAT exciting? sure it's great and all, but c'mon, it's not revolutionary.
i'm not saying iphone is crap, it's just disappointing from all the hype.
no offense to you but... if you didn't like all the hype, you should stop reading rumor sites before announced events...
but again, only a deaf and blind person (again no offense to those who are) wouldn't have heard at least of a rumor about an apple phone. a normal educated adult with internet connection and/or tv has heard about this rumor at least once in the last few months...

Count me into the group who is sick and tired of hearing about this crap.
I too love my iPhone 4, it being the best phone I have ever owned, and without a doubt having less dropped calls than my 3GS had. I had a handful of drops on the 3GS fairly often and on the 4 I've only had two since launch day. I'm also in a long distance relationship and we stay on the phone all night every night. I'm not kidding. :o
I can demo this "issue" but realistically it is not a problem for me. This phone is the best and I'm only slightly bummed that some people may miss out on a fantastic device due to this media hoopla.

So no matter what new features it had, and however much it revolutionized the market, the iPhone was not the first smartphone. Come up with a new word, maybe GeniusPhone. Apple likes the word 'genius'.

They could employ the same trick they employ in the iPad where they have a plastic Logo in the alu back and the antenna behind the plastic logo..

Hey guys,
I want to watch the QuickTime stream "fresh," without knowing anything going in. This has worked OK in the past, but I always get a little spoiled before I watch the show (MacBook Pro, new Shuffle). Is there a link (webpage, e-mail, RSS) that I can simply get the notice once the QuickTime stream is up, and what the link is? In the past, I have watched:

but they don't always update that page right away (I have watched that page for more than a day before while the link was up).
I guess I could use the current numbering system and set my home page to:
