Thanks milind for your information...But mine is concurrent filing of both 140/485 application. when concurrent is says in USCIS, the application to be sent where the permanent job is offered which is mentioned in labor and I-140Thatswhy I am little confused...

My brother is a Physical Therapist. His employer filed I485/I140 concurrently last week. His I140 was not filed under premium processing as the employer said that it is a waste of money as the GC will not come in a months time ( as the retrogression took place from Nov 2006). But then would he get his EAD or not? Any thoughts please?
Yes, he will get his EAD. His 485 will not be adjudicated until his PD is current. 140 Preimum doesnt do any help for your brother. He should get his EAD in approx 90 days from the date of receipt.

My prority will be current in Aug, next month. I filed I485 last july and my I140 is also approved long back in 2006. After filing I485 i do not see any LUD or anything on my case.
What will be the chances to get my I485 approve ? Do i need to followup / take appointment ( Infopass) etc ?
Appriciate your thoughts...
Well, one of my colleagues with EB-2 India PD of Nov 2003 took an InfoPass appointment as soon as the bulletin came out with his PD being current. IO told him that he is all set and should get his I-485 approved as soon as his application is picked for processing as per the processing dates....He did not see any LUDs...He applied his 485 in Jun 2007...He got the welcome email in the first week of the month when his PD was current...
So I am not sure if his InfoPass appointment triggered anything or his application was picked randomly..Whatever it is, its worth taking an InfoPass because it is the only thing in your control...Good luck..

Just signing and sending the last page in the 485 which doesnt have much Data .you can save a lot of time. You can verify online the data entry work done by the para-leagl and you are good to go and save couple of days ..i moved to a small firm ( from a over priced attorney ) and he was quite good. My forms are ready to pickup by Fedex in the evening from Attorney's office
Well you have a option to hire your own attorney and get things done the way you like.... But, In my case, like many other I have to get my paper work done by the immigration attorney's part of my company in-house legal department and they are pretty good at getting things done, but not at the time farme you want to get things done.
In my case all the documents must be sitting at my attorney's desk with all the requried docs, etc.. They just need to attach the employment letter, checks and review/ship it... But have no clue when this will be done. Hope it is within the first week. Just got one email that they understand the urgenecy and will do at the earliest. No other updates.

I'll join..I'd only have to go back to Canada. I can understand why the thousands on here would not. However, Canadian permanant residency is easier to get, anyone applying for it?

yes you can. As per AC 21 once you have counted towards h1b number in last 6 year you are not counted again. So assuming your original h1 wasn't though non profit orgainzation, you can apply for new h1. If you have your I 140 approved you get 3 years h1. PM me if you need more info. I have done it.
and btw, h1b premium processing takes 15 days, so don't panic.

Receipt notice not sure how long. I have not yet got it.
Approval notice has already come via mail in 7 days precise after status approved.
Again this is PP. So may be for PP it is only e-receipt and not actual receipt.

Seems like NVARS has introduced a new process which is supposed to be more streamlined for getting appointment online but I am not sure of some of it's verbage.
We want to ensure that applicants already in the scheduling process are not negatively impacted by the change. In order to ensure you receive the visa services you have paid for, please review the guidance below regarding transition timetables.
* Applicants who have already scheduled an appointment at a U.S. consulate on or after September 1, 2010 through NVARS:
If you have already scheduled to attend an appointment through NVARS, please pay your MRV fee prior to September 1, 2010 and bring your Scotiabank receipt with you to your appointment. If you have not already scheduled an appointment, we recommend that you wait until September 1, 2010 or later to pay the MRV fee and register through the new service.

My brother-in-law and sister are both Indian Doctors, having a private practice in INDIA. They would like to apply for visitor's visa.
Any suggestion about the problems they may encounter? Do they have to go on two differrent dates for getting the visa stampped at Chennai?

The chances to get visa is 1% as they know why they come here even though you say that they come here for visiting.The documentation is same as for B2 visa.

If any established school can prove to USCIS that they have a open position for which the candidate is a great fit and that they are unable to find a qualified teacher in the US (Citizen or Resident) for the same position. Then they can apply for a H1B.

All the ministers are busy looting the country and would like to make most in the remaining 3 years of their terms. Forget they will do anything that would benefit anybody else but themselves..it's only that overexcited journos ask the ministers what they will do and without even thinking they vomit nonsenses. Think logically how this can be a WTO issue, it is completely in their jurisdiction whatever fees they may want to charge, take it or move on...nobody is forcing them to use the expensive Visas ?

Here's our situation:
Both of our GC applications were filed in EB3 categories, by our individual employers, independent of each other.
My priority date is Apr 2002. My 140 is approved and 485 was filed in 2007 and is currently pending.
My husband's 140 is also approved and 485 was filed back in 2005. His priority date is Sep 2003.
Is there any way now to link both our applications, so he can take advantage of my earlier priority date without him having to withdraw his 485 application?
Attorneys might have an answer based on their past experience. I believe it might be best to act by calling USCIS as soon as your PD gets Current. Note that they don't see files in sequence of PD's. They see them in sequence of filing. As your husband has filed earlier, it is possible that his file is seen first. Anyway, best seems to call USCIS as soon as your PD is current, and let them deal with it. It may not require withdrawing of 485, as it is just a case of reclassification from EB3 to EB3-Dependant.

Both Attorney and you will get the RFE letter. I also got the RFE letter.
